Rome’s great deities that could be your super allies for 2026 (& Beyond)!
This January 2026 is our first online community event of the year. I have chosen to theme this gathering around the Capitoline Triad of Ancient Rome and there is a really good reason for that.
You may be asking why the deities Juno, Minerva and Jupiter? What’s so great about them?
Why would I want to know about them? And how are these ancient gods relevant to me in modern day and in my spiritual or healing journey?
Well let’s get to know them a little bit more – I’ll share why I think they are the bees knees, why the ancient Romans thought they were even more awesome, and hopefully you’ll even find them a little bit fascinating as well 😉
First off, I want to share about this year and its numerology.
This year is a Year 1 (2+2+0+6 = 10, 1+0 = 1)
Last year, a 9 year, was a year of endings, the big boom before a new beginning (did you feel that also?) It was a year of things crumbling and a little, or alot, of choas, endings – it might have felt a bit messy or tough.
Astrologically, this is believed to have been a clearing, a completion year and the end of a cycle (which started 2017, so set your mind back to then and consider what reoccuring lessons or themes you have been experiencing/ learning since then).
So this year is the beginning of a new cycle, a fresh start, a chance to make a beginning.
Why is this important and why should we make the most of it?
It means you’ve learnt the lessons, something has been revealed/remembered, something was ready to end, you are in a different place with a new perspective and now you are ready for the next stage . . .
NOW is a chance for you to take a breath, to step away from or forward from what has been before.
The energy is supporting you now to move on, change or begin – stronger and wiser – and to level up, step up, to the next part of the spiral.
If you have been waiting to create something, calling something in, remembering a dream, building a desire, ready to begin anew, or are just standing in the rubble of the last few years, this year is your chance to shine again, to confidently choose life, to choose to live and live on purpose and live for fulfilment and dreams.
And why the Capitoline Triad to support this?
The Capitoline Triad had their temple on Capitoline Hill (hence the name!). This was the biggest and greatest temple in Ancient Rome, and they were considered the biggest and greatest deities in the Roman Pantheon. It was the centre of a vast empire, and the nucleus in a large religious landscape.
They hold the energetic blueprint of Rome itself; which, if you think about the history and legacy of Rome, is all about building and expanding (pathways, waterways, forts), establishing infrastructures that are sustainable, solid and strong, and inclusion and wholeness (welcoming and integrating all parts into one whole).
And
As the metaphorical and symbolic Capitoline, each of the Triad deities, I believe, holds an energetic that correlates to an element of the temple structure i.e those parts that makes a structure whole, strong, sustainable.
Minerva ~ Foundations
Juno ~ Pillars
Jupiter ~ Roof
YOU are a temple – a holy, sacred creation and structure, that is deserving of respect and love and also holds within it the divine, the sacred flame of the creator.
And your Self, the temple, is the centre of your empire, from where you rule and from where everything is created, decided, where the climate and conditions are set.
Over time, through life’s experiences, trials and ups and downs, our temple of Self can get a bit neglected, loose a few stones here and there, we might even have closed the doors for a while or forgotten a few important rituals or ceremonies (healthy habits and choices).
When we have used buildings blocks that belong to another to create ourself, or not maintained that temple, the temple becomes inauthentic, doesn’t quite fit, or feels tired, weary and a bit of ruin!
To feel peace, to feel at home in our bodies and life and to feel the confidence, alignment and certainty to create, build and make decisions in our life we need to give respect, service and trust to the temple.
Through working with each of these 3 deities you can access their inspiration, wisdom and support in how to maintain, nourish, serve and support your temple of Self.
The Capitoline Triad can support and inspire you in connecting to self on the deepest level.
🦉 Minerva will help you to HEAR your intuition, to TRUST your instinct, to source and embrace your UNIQUE WISDOM. If you have found yourself doubting what you know, not feeling like your voice or opinion matters, or get stuck in indecision, not knowing what to do, when to do it or how to do it (‘it’ being literally, anything) she is your guide. Begin at the foundations of Self with Minerva, truly and deeply listening to your inner knowing, learning to trust the voice within that knows what you need/ desire/ dream. You deserve your own understanding, allowance and trust.
❤️ Juno will inspire you in practising DEVOTION to the temple of self (and so the temple of the divine). We honour ourselves as sacred by making time for connection, action and thinking with respect (our opinions and judgements of Self) and taking actions that keep the temple clean (healthy habits) and running efficently (optimal well-being). If self care, self devotion or self-love seem hard, scary, uneasy, then it probably means that your heart is tired, closed, vulnerable or sore. Practice tenderness and compassion, as the pillars of nourishing Self, and let Juno guide you in reclaiming the fact that you are deserving of love, adoration and devotion.
⭐ Jupiter will remind you that you are worthy of Benevolence. As well as the king of the gods, he is the god of kindness and divine connection – Being kind is vastly underrated and kind one of those words that is belittled, but kindness is a SUPERPOWER. Jupiter can guide you in being abundant with kindness.
Being generous can feel scary – if you worry that you might empty out, or fear being hurt or rejected (by self or other) then Jupiter is a great guide for living a courageous, heart-led life, where the heart feels safe and confident to open. With him let the light in, find surrender and feel nourished, supported, celebrated and appreciated!
