Wisdom of the Wolf Pups

~ For Spring & spring healing, joy-filled embodiment and empowerment of our younger Self!

When it comes to Wolf Wisdom and archetypal energy spring is the time for the Wolf Pups.

Each season aligns with a particular wolf energy and archetype, reflecting the cycles of nature and the lives of real-life wolves.
In connecting to or embodying the characteristics and themes of each archetype, you can both heal and empower that archetype within yourself and transmute your experiences in wisdom and your challenges into new beginnings, deeper alignment and clarity.

So let me share with you more about the Wolf pups and how they can support and inspire you!

Wolf pups hold the energy of beginnings. From February through to April/May the mamma wolf is birthing her pups in the den, rearing them and then they emerge and begin their life experience.

The first few months they are exploring Self, their abilities and the world around them.

So how can this archetype support you at this time of year especially, but also anytime you want to embody or explore this energy within yourself?

We experience this same threshold:

1) every spring when we leave the internal, enclosure of winter where we have been within and emerge back into the activity and external of summer, By spring the new year’s resolutions and intentions are beginning to blossom or have been re-evaluated and re-aligned
2) Anytime when we begin a new phase or are learning something new and finding  new steps or a different way of being (such as a new job, a new home, a new relationship, moving on from an experience, when we are training or exploring new ways of being such as no longer living in fear but taking a chance on our dreams)

If you feel that you resonate with this right now then here are 2 gems of wisdom from the pups:

1) We all have to start somewhere, the only place to start in fact is the beginning! No one is born knowing everything, we must all learn at some point. What is important is that we do make a start. Wolf Pup encourages you to give yourself permission and allowance to chase those dreams, begin again, learn new ways. The only person you are waiting for is you. That first step can seem the biggest, but its worth it, you are worth it (please repeat that to yourself again and again). We don’t regret more what we did do, but what we didn’t do. Make the most of your precious time.

2) Get out there and play!! Bring fun to whatever you are doing. Life can sometimes get too serious. but it doesn’t have to be. Get curious, there is no pressure to do it the ‘right’ way or to be perfect, we learn through practice and only you know what your right way is, because you are unique and have your own unique needs/desires/ways/personality/challenges etc. if it brings you joy, chase that!

And here are 2 ways to connect to Wolf Pup energy:

1) Vision Boards What is your dream/goal/desire/intention you are working towards? Use a vision board to check in with all aspects of what it would feel like, what it looks like, the steps and actions it will take, who is your support team and what tools or resources might you want or need. Be thorough, curious and open. Wolf pups will learn how to hunt by playing with birds, feathers, sticks and stones and will practice again and again. Keep coming back to your vision, put it somewhere that you can check-in that every action and step is in alignment with the big picture or the goal. Every time there is a question or you aren’t sure what to do or where to go, ask ‘what do I want to grow?’ and ‘will this contribute to getting me there?’.

 2) Bring fun into whatever you are doing and make time for play. Have a full day of work? Take 10-30minutes out to dance or walk in nature, no intentions, no expectations, just for the fun of it. Choose to see and feel the small joys and pleasures in life, enjoy popping the bubbles in the sink while washing up, jump in the puddles, snort loudly at something really funny, touch the leaves and roll in the grass, close your eyes when you eat and savour your favourite food, get out a game from the cupboard and enjoy with your family!
Also, reflect on and remember what made you laugh, or brought you fulfilment or joy as a child and return to that thing, to remind yourself of what is important to you and to bring some nourishment and nurturance to your inner child. Offer acknowledgement and validation to your younger or child Self.

3 primary deities that embody or represent Wolf pup energy:

~ Apollo is your go-to if . . .

If you are desiring to re-connect to and define your authenticity. He asks you ‘what is unique about you, what makes you uniquely shine or how can you be the difference you are meant to be in the world’?

Connect to him via basking in the sun and, or connecting to music/poetry! Dance, sing, paint, write, craft with him and create something together and he will help you to access and channel your creative Self and express it with joy and trust.

~ Artemis is your go-to if . . .

If you wish to find the wild, untamed parts of yourself, the essential self, that was you before all of the conditions, limitations and obligations placed upon you by society or the roles or masks you have taken on or performed. She will run with you on the hunt for self-discovery and will remind you of what it means to have freedom and why it is important.

Connect to her by being outside in nature. Go on a nature walk, or run, perhaps to a favourite place. Engage all your senses there, play in the water, dance with the trees, sing to the birds, take a picnic, play hide and seek and gift yourself some free time with yourself to just be present.

~ Fenrir is your go-to if  . . .

If your child or younger self was shamed for your looks, choices or interests. If you felt wrong at any time, or that you did not fit in, Fenrir will support you in finding your purpose and will remind you that you are not what others judge you to be or expect you to be, you are who you decide to be. He tells you that your path is yours alone and only you know who you really are and that you are worthy of self-compassion and allowance.

Connect to him by listening to his story here on spotify and, oexploring chapter 7 of my book ‘Wolf’. He will help you to give yourself permission to be you and to choose the rightness of your essential self.
